A friend of mine dumped a silly animated gif on me, it was 3MB, 3 frigging megabytes for what amounts to 3 seconds of some guys rolling across a bunch of medicine balls.
What we really need isn’t another static image format (i.e. WebP) but a replacement for animated GIFs that uses the better compression algorithms.
That’s my thought…now my head hurts. 🙁
